Our office is a rowhouse in Sector 1 of Airoli, specifically Rowhouse No-4 in the Ujala C.H.S. Working in a rowhouse is quite different from being in a high-rise office building because it feels much more grounded and less anonymous. We have a little bit of space out front where we can park a few bikes, and there are actual plants growing near the entrance. Inside, we have converted the rooms into different work areas. It is a bit of a maze with all the cables running along the floor, but we have managed to organize it so that everyone has their own corner. The kitchen is still there, so it is easy for us to heat up our tiffins or make some snacks when we get hungry. Navimumbai is a bit quieter than the main city, and Sector 1 is a fairly decent neighborhood to spend the day in. We don't have a fancy lobby or a guard at the door; if you come to see us, you just ring the bell and someone will let you in. We prefer this kind of informal setting because it makes the workday feel less like a chore. There is always someone coming or going, and the atmosphere is generally pretty relaxed. We just focus on our computers and keep the business running without any unnecessary drama or corporate polish. It is just a regular workplace for regular people.
