At Cms Computers Ltd, we work out of room number 7 at Arunodaya Niwas. We are right near the Siddhiganesh Temple in Bhatwadi, which is part of Ghatkopar here in Mumbai. Having the temple so close means we hear the bells and the prayers every morning and evening. It gives the place a specific kind of rhythm. The building is one of those traditional ones you find in Ghatkopar, with narrow hallways and a lot of character. Our space is small but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. There are wires running along the walls and boxes of components stacked in the corners. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. The streets in Bhatwadi are usually crowded with people going to the temple or the local markets. We find that we are right in the heart of the community. We don't have a fancy reception area or a sign that lights up. Most people just know we are here because they’ve seen us around. It can get quite hot in the small room, so we usually keep the door propped open for a bit of a breeze. We sit at our desks and work through our tasks, occasionally stopping for a tea from the stall downstairs. It’s a very local way of doing business, and it suits us just fine. No corporate polish, just honest work.
