Our place is at 20/Vasant in the New Mandala B.A.R.C. Colony out in Anushaktinagar. It is a relatively quiet part of Mumbai, which is a nice change from the usual chaos of the city. We are surrounded by a lot of trees and government quarters, so the air feels a little different here. The office itself is filled with the hum of cooling fans and the occasional beep from a diagnostic tool. We have been in this spot for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the hardware to worry about that. There is a small balcony where we go to take a break and look out at the colony. Inside, we have rows of shelves holding printers that need fixing and laptops waiting for screens. We do not have a fancy reception desk, just a counter where we take down the details of whatever is broken. The workspace is a bit of a mess of screwdrivers, pliers, and soldering irons. We try to keep it organized, but by Wednesday, things usually start piling up. Most of our neighbors are B.A.R.C. employees, so we see a lot of the same faces coming in. It is a steady rhythm of life here in Anushaktinagar, just fixing things and keeping the computers running one day at a time. The tile floor has some scuff marks from where we move the heavy desks around to reach the wall sockets behind them.
