You can find us on the third floor of Gopal Mansion. It’s an old building on Gokhale Road South in Dadar, right in the heart of Mumbai. Being in Dadar means there's always noise from the traffic and the crowds from the station nearby, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. Cmc Ltd. has been operating from this space for quite a while. The lift in the building is one of those old manual ones that sometimes gets stuck, so many of us just take the stairs to the third floor for the exercise. Our office has those high ceilings you find in these older Mumbai properties. We have a lot of filing cabinets and a few big tables where we spread out our work. It’s a busy place. We aren't really into the modern open-office trend; we like our separate corners and the familiar clutter of a working office. Lunchtime usually involves someone bringing in snacks from the local shops around Gopal Mansion. There’s a certain rhythm to working in Dadar that you don't get elsewhere. We just focus on getting the daily grind out of the way. We don't have fancy coffee machines or lounge areas. Just a water cooler and some good people who know their jobs. It’s honest work in a part of the city that never really stops moving. The rain really hits the windows hard during monsoon season, but we stay dry inside.
