Chirag Techno

If you’ve ever been to Nogdevi Street, you know it’s a tight squeeze. We are at Chirag Techno, located on Isaji Street at number 126/128. It’s an old building, the kind with stairs that creak a bit when you walk up. We handle a lot of industrial hardware and tools. The air always smells a bit like metal and packing tape. Boxes are stacked everywhere. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the aisles get pretty narrow. It’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around. We deal with many regular customers who have been coming to this area for decades. It’s a different world here compared to the newer parts of the city. You have to be quick on your feet or you’ll get in the way of a handcart. We don't have a fancy showroom. Everything is practical. If someone needs a specific valve or a tool, we go find it in the back. Sometimes it takes a minute. The sunlight only hits the street for a couple of hours because the buildings are so close together. We start early in the morning when the trucks are unloading. It’s loud and it’s dusty, but it’s what we know. My hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the stock, but that’s part of the trade. We aren't looking to be the biggest, just to stay steady in this spot.
