Chemotex India

The office here at 46, New Oberoi Shopping Arcade is small, but it works for what we do at Chemotex India. Being in Nariman Point means it's always crowded outside. I spend a lot of time looking out the window at the people rushing around while I'm talking to suppliers. We deal with various chemicals and materials, so the desk is usually buried under spec sheets and delivery notes. It’s not a quiet place because the phones are always ringing. We aren't a massive corporation with floors of people. It’s just a handful of us squeezed into this space. We’ve been in this arcade for years, and we know the tea guy downstairs pretty well. He brings us snacks when we’re too busy to leave. The air conditioning sometimes struggles in the afternoon heat, but we manage. Most of the day is spent checking on shipments or making sure the paperwork for the next batch is ready. There’s no big fancy meeting room here. We just pull up a chair next to someone’s desk if we need to talk. Sometimes the elevator takes forever, so we end up taking the stairs. It’s just a regular office job in a busy part of the city. We don't do anything flashy. We just handle the trades and make sure the customers get what they ordered without too much fuss. It gets the job done at the end of the day and we go home.
