You can find Chemco Plastic Industries Pvt. Ltd. at 78, Virmani Industrail Estate. It’s tucked just off the Westren Express Highway in Goregoan. The location is handy for getting things shipped out, but the traffic on the highway can be a nightmare in the evenings. We’ve been operating out of this unit for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. It’s a plastic plant, so it’s always warm inside. We have big fans, but they mostly just move the warm air around. We work in shifts to keep things moving. There’s a lot of checking and re-checking. It’s repetitive, but that is how you make sure things are right. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you just walk in and find someone on the floor. Most of the guys have been with us since the beginning. We know each other's families and how everyone takes their tea. It’s a tight-knit group. The machines are old but reliable, mostly. We spend a lot of time cleaning up the scrap bits. It’s honest work and it pays the bills. We don’t really do marketing or anything like that. We just focus on the orders we have and try to get them finished on time. It’s just what we do. By the time Friday rolls around, we're tired but it's a good kind of tired.
