Charminar

Our place, Charminar, is situated in Bandra West, specifically near the 9th cross in the JHBCS Layout at the Rizvi Complex. It is right there on Carter Road, which means we get a lot of people walking by from the promenade. It is a busy area, so there is always noise from the cars and the wind coming off the sea. We focus on a few specific dishes that we know how to make well. The kitchen is small and it gets quite hot in the back during the dinner rush. We do not have a lot of decorations on the walls, just the basics to make it look alright. Most of our customers come in late at night, especially on weekends when everyone is out and about. We try to keep the tables clean, but with the salt air and the constant crowd, it is a non-stop job. Sometimes we run out of bread or rice before the night is over because it is hard to guess how many people will show up. Our staff is used to the fast pace, though we might look a bit tired toward the end of a shift. We do not do anything too fancy, just the kind of food that fills you up. It has been a staple in this part of Bandra for a bit, and we are just keeping it going one day at a time. It is a busy life here on the coast.
