Chandrika Creations

Chandrika Creations is tucked away in Malad East at Jai Singh Chawl, specifically at number 6. We are right by the Datta Mandir on the Sherki Bhimpura Koyli Channel Road. If you know the Koyali area, you probably know the temple. It is a big landmark for everyone around here. Working out of a chawl means things are pretty tight and we are always close to our neighbors. You can hear everything that goes on in the street, from the kids playing to the motorbikes zooming past on the channel road. It gets quite dusty because of the traffic, so we are constantly wiping down the tables. We have been here for years and it feels like home now. The space is small but we have managed to fit all our equipment inside. It is not a modern office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a practical workshop where we spend our days. Malad East is a very busy part of the city and it feels like it never sleeps. Sometimes the power cuts out during the monsoon and we have to wait it out with some chai. We don't have any big slogans or marketing plans. People find us because they live in the chawl or they pass by the temple. It is a very local way of doing things and we are okay with that. We just focus on our daily tasks and getting things finished.
