Chandra Silk Mills

We’ve been at Kalbadevi 22 for quite some time now. Dealing with silks is just what we do here every day. It’s a busy spot, always something moving in and out of the door. People know where to find us when they need fabric for something specific. It isn't a fancy setup or anything. Most days are spent checking the rolls and making sure the orders are ready to go. The street outside is usually crowded, so things can get a bit hectic in the afternoons. We handle a lot of different types of silk, from the plain stuff to things with more patterns. It’s simple work, really. Just keeping track of what’s in stock and helping out whoever walks in. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the cloth around, but that’s just how it is. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty. It’s more about getting the job done. My family has seen this neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and work. If someone needs a particular weight or color, we look through the shelves. It’s not always perfectly organized, but we know where everything is. That’s how we’ve always run things here at Chandra Silk Mills. It works for us and it seems to work for the folks who come by. Just a regular business in a regular part of town.
