Chamunda Embroidery

It is just us here at Room No 142 in Chawl No 18. We have been doing this work in Malad West for a while now. The space is small but we keep busy with the machines most days. If you look for the D G area, you will find us easily. People around the chawl know where we are. We handle the needles and thread ourselves. It gets noisy sometimes when everything is running at once. My hands are usually full of thread pieces. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the workspace where the embroidery gets done day after day. Most mornings start early because the work piles up quickly. We just stay focused on the fabric in front of us. It is a simple setup here in Malad. We have lived and worked in this part of town for years. Sometimes the power goes out but we manage. You can see the patterns we make if you drop by. It is just honest work we do with our own hands. We don't spend time on the computer much, mostly just at the tables working. The address is quite specific so it helps people find the right door in the chawl. We have our routine and it works for us. Nothing too complicated happening here. Just Chamunda Embroidery doing what we know how to do in this little room every day.
