We are based in Unit No 110 at Marwah’s Complex, which is on Krishanlal Marwah Marg, just off the Saki-Vihar Road in Andheri East. Anyone who knows Mumbai knows that Saki-Vihar Road is almost always jammed with traffic, so just getting to the office in the morning can feel like an achievement. Our space is part of a larger complex where many different businesses operate. We deal with chemicals and pharmaceuticals, which means there is always a lot of technical talk and stacks of lab reports sitting on the desks. The unit isn’t very large, so we have to be quite organized with where we put everything. It’s a busy atmosphere with phones ringing and people trying to coordinate shipments across the city or further away. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up the paperwork for a specific batch or to talk to someone in a different time zone. The light in the office is that standard office fluorescent, and the view outside is mostly just other industrial buildings and the tops of trucks. We usually order lunch from one of the local spots nearby, and we eat quickly so we can get back to work. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We aren’t looking to impress anyone with a fancy lobby; we just want to make sure the chemical orders are handled properly and the clients get what they need without any mistakes.
