Calluna Cashews Private Limited

We’re tucked away on the third floor of Spenta CHS over in Malabar Hill. It’s a quiet part of the city compared to the rest of Mumbai. Calluna Cashews Private Limited is our small venture. We spend a lot of time talking about nuts, which sounds funny when you say it out loud. Most of our work involves sourcing and making sure the quality is what it should be. We aren’t a massive factory; we’re more of an administrative hub in this flat. B.G. Kher Marg is a nice street, very green. Sometimes we take a walk during lunch just to get some air. The office is just a few rooms filled with samples and files. We don’t have fancy furniture. We just use what works for us. My cousin helped me set up the computers last year. We deal with suppliers from all over. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone. Sometimes the connections aren't great, and we have to call back three times. It's frustrating but part of the job. We don’t put on airs here. If someone visits, they’ll probably just get a cup of water and a seat at a plain wooden table. We focus on the cashews. Making sure they are dry and sized right takes up most of our mental energy. It’s a steady business, and we like it that way. No big drama, just cashews and the daily grind of the office in the hills.
