Cafe Bollywood

You can find us in Mulund West, right over in Highland Park. We are in building B4, unit 103. It is close to Shastri Nagar, which is a busy residential part of Mumbai. We started this place because we wanted a spot where people could just come and hang out. It’s called Cafe Bollywood because, like most people in this city, we have a bit of a thing for movies. The cafe isn't very large, but we’ve tried to make it comfortable for the local crowd. You’ll find people from the nearby apartments coming in for a quick snack or a tea throughout the day. We don't have a massive menu with hundreds of items. We just keep a few things that we know people like. The vibe is very casual; you don't have to dress up or anything to come here. Sometimes the music is playing, and other times it’s just the sound of the traffic from the street outside. Mumbai is always moving, but inside the cafe, things feel a little slower. We handle the cooking and the serving ourselves for the most part. It’s a lot of work keeping the place clean and making sure everyone gets their food on time, but we enjoy the daily routine. It’s just a small local business trying to be a part of the Mulund community. We are happy with how it has turned out so far.
