Burma Burma Restaurant Tea Room is located in the Fort area of Mumbai, inside Kothari House on Allana Centre Lane. If you are walking along M G Road, just look for Kandeel Restaurant and take the first left after it. It’s a bit of a narrow lane, but that is pretty common for this part of Mumbai. We’ve been here in the 400001 district for a while now. The building has that old Fort character, and we try to keep our space feeling comfortable and lived-in. It is a busy neighborhood, with lawyers, office workers, and tourists constantly passing by. We spend our mornings setting up the tea room and getting the kitchen ready for the day. It’s a lot of physical work, but we have a good team here. We don't use any fancy marketing language or talk about missions. We just want to provide a decent place for people to sit down and have a meal or some tea. The noise from the main roads doesn't reach us quite as much back in the lane, which is nice. We aren't a big chain, just this one spot in Kothari House. We like the history of the area and being tucked away from the main drag. It feels like a small secret in the middle of a huge city. We just keep doing our thing, day after day, in Fort. It is a steady life here.
