Our office is tucked away in Building No C 1, specifically in Office No 309. We’re over in Andheri East, not too far from Satara Road, which makes the morning commute interesting depending on which way the traffic is flowing. Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services India Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this space for a good bit of time. It’s a typical office environment where we handle a lot of testing and service stuff for consumer goods. We have some good lunch spots nearby, though most of us just bring a dabba from home and eat at our desks. The building itself is okay, nothing special to look at, but it serves its purpose. We have a lot of files and equipment around because there is always something being checked or processed. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes it a bit of a mess to get into the building, but that’s just life in Mumbai. We know the security guards by name and they know us. It feels like a small community even though we are part of a bigger name. We don't really do the big corporate speeches here; we just focus on getting the day's tasks finished so we can get home to our families. It is a steady rhythm of work, tea breaks, and more work. We often find ourselves staying a bit late to catch up on emails, but the view of the city lights from the third floor makes it a little better.
