We are up on the second floor of Ravindra Mension. If you’ve ever been to Churchgate, you know the area—it’s always crowded with people heading to the station. The building itself has that old charm, though the lift can be a bit temperamental sometimes and gets stuck between floors. Most of us take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. Our office isn't very large at all. We’ve got desks squeezed in, and there’s always a stack of files that someone needs to go through before the day ends. It gets noisy outside with the traffic and the trains, but we’ve learned to work through it without much trouble. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff here. Lots of typing, lots of phone calls, and making sure the logistics side of things doesn't fall apart. Sometimes we grab a quick snack from the vendors downstairs during our short break. It’s a fast-paced environment because of where we are located in the city. There’s no time for fancy talk or long meetings. We just focus on getting the tasks done before the evening rush starts at the station. The windows are usually shut to keep the dust out, but you can still hear the city moving. It’s a busy life here in Mumbai. We’ve been in this spot for years and the walls are covered in old calendars and notes we’ve pinned up over time. It’s home for us for eight hours a day and we like the routine of it.
