Up here in 1101 Silver Court, the view of Mumbai isn't too bad, though mostly you just see other buildings and the tops of cars on M G Road. Ghatkopar East is a crowded place, and we are right in the middle of all that noise. Brand U has been operating out of this spot for a while now. The elevator in the building is a bit slow, so if you're in a hurry, you're usually better off taking the stairs, even if it's a long climb up. We do a lot of work with people who want to change how they look to the rest of the world. It’s a small office, mostly just a few desks pushed together and some whiteboards that never get fully erased. We don't have a reception desk or a person in a suit waiting at the door to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and someone will look up from their laptop to say hello. The traffic on MG Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually stay a bit late to let the crowds thin out before heading home. It’s just how things are in Mumbai 400077. We drink a lot of cutting chai from the stall downstairs and try to keep things moving. There’s no big secret to how we work; we just sit down and get it done. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to clear everything out yet.
