Our office is tucked away in Ashoka Apartments, which is on Old Nagardas Road in Andheri East. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed Andheri can get, especially during the rush hour. We are on the seventh floor, in room 702. It is a bit of a climb if the elevator is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. Being in the finance business means we spend a lot of time looking at numbers and paperwork. We called it Boss Of My Own Finance Company because that’s the spirit we try to keep around here, even on the days when the work feels a bit heavy. We aren't one of those massive banks with glass buildings. We are just a local team in a residential-style building. You can hear the sounds of the city from the balcony. Most of us take the local train and then an auto to get here. It’s a tight space, but we’ve made it our own with some plants and old calendars. We don't do big marketing pushes or anything. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live in the neighborhood. We just take things one day at a time, handling the accounts and making sure everything balances out by the end of the month. It's simple, honest work in a busy part of town. We just keep our heads down, focus on the ledgers, and try to stay organized amid all the Mumbai chaos.
