Bombay Gifts

Bombay Gifts is located at A-35 on M A Road in Dharavi. We are right near the Sansar Hotel, which is a pretty well-known landmark if you are coming into this part of the neighborhood. The shop is tucked into a busy stretch of the road where there is always something happening. It’s a small room, packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of items we sell. We have everything from small household things to little trinkets that people like to give as presents. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. Most of the time, I’m sitting near the door so I can see who’s coming and going. M A Road is always noisy with rickshaws and people talking, so it’s never quiet here. We don’t have any fancy website or marketing; we just rely on people walking past and seeing what we have in the window. The shop has been here for years, and we’ve become a part of the daily life on this street. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer, but we keep the fan going and stay open until late. It’s just a simple, local business. We know our customers by name and they know where to find us when they need a quick gift or something for their house. It’s nothing special to look at, but it’s our lively little corner of Dharavi.
