We’ve been here in Malad East for a while now, tucked away in the Valentine building on Jerry Vergese Road. It’s a busy spot in Pimpli Pada and things can get pretty crowded around the entrance some mornings. Most of the day is spent handling different fabric batches and keeping the machines running how they should. We don’t really have a fancy office or anything like that, just the workspace where the actual manufacturing happens. The walls have seen a lot of dye over the years and there’s always a bit of a smell of cloth and steam in the air. People around here know us as the place that’s always got some truck loading or unloading near B 102. It gets loud when the shifts change but that’s just how it goes in a factory. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the old desk in the corner but we get through it eventually. We just focus on the orders we have for the day and try to get them finished before the sun goes down. It’s not a glamorous job by any means. It’s mostly just making sure the colors turn out right and the machines don't break down at the wrong time. If you walk past the A2 wing you’ll probably hear the hum of the equipment going. We've stayed in this same spot in Mumbai because it works for us and we know the area well.
