BMG Enterprises

BMG Enterprises is right in the middle of the madness at 112/114 Abdul Rehman Street. If you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded and loud it gets. Our shop is surrounded by dozens of others, all selling different things, and the foot traffic never stops from ten in the morning until late at night. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it is home for us. We deal in various goods, and the shelves are usually packed from floor to ceiling. Finding something specific can be a challenge if you don't know where to look, but we have our own system. The handcarts are always moving outside, and the shouting of the loaders is our background music. We don't have a website or fancy ads. People just walk in off the street or call us up because they know we have what they need. It is a very traditional way of doing business, based on knowing people and being reliable. We share tea with the shopkeepers next door and talk about how the market is doing. The space is cramped, and sometimes we have to move ten boxes just to get to one, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Abdul Rehman Street has its own energy, and being part of that history is something we just do day by day. It is definitely not for everyone, but we enjoy the hustle.
