Binichain Laboratory

Binichain Laboratory is situated at Bharat Nivas on Bapubhai Vasi Road. This is in Vile Parle West, a part of Mumbai that is always moving. We are at number 21. The building is a typical residential-commercial mix that you see a lot of in this neighborhood. Our lab space is basically a converted room that we have packed with all our testing equipment. There are counters along the walls with various glass jars, microscopes, and machines that hum all day. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are working at once. The floor is covered in white tiles that we have to scrub constantly to keep clean. We get a lot of light from the windows, which is nice. Outside, you can hear the sounds of the local market and people walking to the station. We’ve been here for several years now. The staff is local, so we all know the best places to get a quick snack nearby. We spend hours looking at samples and recording data in our logbooks. It’s tedious work, but it has to be done carefully. We don't have a fancy reception area. If someone comes by, they usually just stand near the door while we help them. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We focus on the science and the results. It is just a regular lab doing its part in the community.
