You have to head into Zaveri Bazar to find us. We are on the second floor of 273/B on Mumbadevi Road. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep, but that’s how it is in this part of Mumbai. It’s always crowded outside with people carrying bags and carts pushing through the lanes. Once you get up to our floor, it’s a bit quieter. This business has been around for generations. We deal in gold and jewelry like everyone else around here, but we try to keep things simple. The office is full of old ledgers and wooden desks. We don't have fancy lights or a big showroom. It’s more of a place where deals happen over a glass of water. It’s hot in the summer, and the fans just move the air around, but we are used to it. We see a lot of the same brokers every day. People come to us because they know the name and they know where to find us. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the brightest. We just want to do our work properly and keep the family name going. It’s a lot of long hours, especially when the market is moving fast. But at the end of the day, it’s just about being honest with the people who walk in. The neighborhood is noisy, but our little office is where we feel at home.
