Our garage is over in the Kismat Building, right in the Colaba area. We are near Pathik Society and just behind the Sardar Patel Colony, which makes it easy for the locals to find us. Being right opposite Sassoon Dock means there is always a lot of action going on nearby with the fishing boats and the trucks. We work on all kinds of vehicles here. Usually, it's a lot of grease and loud noises from the tools, but that's how a workshop should be. I've been fixing cars and scooters since I was a teenager, and this shop is where I spend almost all my time. We have a few guys working here who know their way around an engine pretty well. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, with oil on the floor and spare parts everywhere, but we know where everything is. People bring their cars in when something starts making a funny noise or if they just need an oil change. We try to get things fixed up as fast as we can so people can get back to their jobs. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when we have three or four cars in at once. Colaba is a busy spot, so we stay on our toes. We don’t have a big waiting room or anything, just a few stools where you can sit and watch us work while you have a tea. It's just a basic auto shop doing what we know how to do.
