I work out of my place at Flat No 1404 in the Augustus building. It is part of the Lodha Paradise complex over near Majiwada in Thane West. Being a photographer means I am usually out with my camera, but this is where I do all the editing and keep my gear. The building is quite tall, and the view from the window helps when I am stuck at the computer for hours. I take photos of all sorts of things, people, events, whatever is needed. I don’t have a big studio with fancy lights and a stage; I mostly go to where the action is. My living room is often filled with bags, lenses, and tripods waiting for the next job. It gets a bit cluttered sometimes. I don’t follow a strict nine-to-five schedule because jobs come up at odd hours, especially on weekends when there are parties or gatherings. Thane is always busy and moving, so I spend a lot of time traveling between locations. I try to keep my camera ready and my batteries charged. People find me through friends or by seeing some of my old shots. I am not one for big speeches or sales pitches. I just show up, take the pictures, and try to make sure they aren't blurry. It is a one-person show here. Sometimes the elevator in the building takes forever, which makes me late for my own tea, but I get by.
