I have a small space in Kandivali West at Shop Number 1 in D Block on Plot Number 516. It is quite close to the Jan Seva Sahakari Bank, which is where most people look when they are trying to find the address. Being a freelancer, I don’t have a massive clinic or a huge staff waiting at the front. It is a simple setup where I can see people and talk to them about their health concerns. The shop is on the ground level, so it is easy for older folks to step inside without having to deal with stairs. I keep the place as clean as I can, though it is a bit small with all the books and medical supplies I need to keep around. Sometimes the wait can be a bit long if I am busy with someone, but there are a couple of chairs for people to sit. The neighborhood is fairly loud, especially during banking hours, but inside the shop, it is okay. I’ve been practicing here for a while and people from the surrounding buildings usually know me. I don’t do much advertising; folks just find out about the place from their neighbors or by seeing the sign when they go to the bank. It is a humble practice, but it works for the community here in Kandivali.
