Berge Sports & Fashion Private Limited

Berge Sports & Fashion is based out of the Prestige Industrial Estate in Malad West. We are in rooms 418 and 419, right on Baudi Cross Lane. Since it’s an industrial estate, it’s not exactly a quiet or pretty place to work. There are always trucks moving in and out, and you can hear the sound of machines from the other units all day long. Our space is mostly filled with sewing machines and cutting tables. There are stacks of fabric and boxes of finished goods piled up against the walls. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, and you have to watch where you step. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We don’t have a big human resources department or formal meetings. We just talk about the work while we’re doing it. The air is often thick with the smell of fabric and machine oil. It’s hard work, and we usually leave at the end of the day feeling pretty tired. We don't have a fancy showroom to show off what we make. Most of the time, we are just focused on getting the orders out on time. It’s a gritty, hands-on kind of business. We don't pretend to be a high-end fashion house; we just make clothes and sports gear.
