We set up Berge Sports And Fashion in Malad, right inside the Prestige Industrial Estate. Our shops are numbered 418 and 419. To get here, you have to turn off Marve Road and head down Baudi Cross Lane. It’s a bit of a narrow turn, especially if there are trucks parked on the side. This area is full of different businesses, so there is a constant hum of activity. We have two units next to each other because we needed the extra space for all the sports gear and clothes we handle. It’s not a mall or a high-street shop. It’s a workspace in an industrial estate, so the vibe is very practical. We have stacks of inventory and desks squeezed into the corners. Sometimes it feels a bit tight when a new shipment arrives, but we manage somehow. Malad is a good place to be located because there are so many people and other businesses nearby. We spend our days coordinating between the two units and making sure everything is where it should be. The Prestige Industrial Estate is a well-known landmark, which helps when we tell people where to find us. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signage. We just make sure the work gets done and the clothes are ready for whoever needs them. It’s a bit messy at times, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy every single day with orders and deliveries.
