You can find Moon Sports Garment near Madina Masjid in Shivaji Nagar, over in the Govandi area. We’ve been set up here for a good amount of time now. The neighborhood is always busy, and there’s usually a lot going on right outside our door. We mostly make clothes for sports—things like jerseys and shorts that people wear when they’re playing football or cricket. It’s a small shop, and we keep it pretty simple. There are a few sewing machines and stacks of colorful fabric everywhere you look. We aren't trying to be a big brand or anything like that. We just like making gear that locals can use when they’re out on the field. Our staff is just a few guys from the neighborhood who know how to stitch. We work hard, especially when a local tournament is coming up and everyone needs their uniforms at the same time. The shop can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay on task. We don't have a website or do any big advertising. People just know where we are and stop by when they need something made. It’s a basic business, but it works for us and the people around here. We just try to do a decent job with the sewing and keep the shop running smoothly day by day. That’s really all there is to it. No fancy talk, just sports clothes made right here in Govandi.
