You can find Benzy Inn at 64 Masjid Bunder West. This part of Mumbai is always moving, and there’s never really a quiet moment on the street outside. We are tucked into the Warje Malwadi area here, which stays busy with people trading and moving goods around. The building itself is older, and we do our best to keep everything working right. We have rooms for people who need a place to stay while they are doing business in the market or just passing through the city. It’s not a big, shiny hotel with a lobby full of flowers. It’s more of a practical spot for someone who just needs a bed and a roof. The hallways are narrow, and you can often hear the sounds of the city coming through the windows. We spend a lot of time checking people in and out and making sure the sheets are washed and ready for the next person. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes things a bit damp, but we just keep the mops handy. We don’t have a big kitchen, just the basics. People stay here because it’s close to the station and the markets.
