We are over at 22 Deepak Building on the 3rd floor. It’s on Peddar Road in Mumbai, so the traffic is always a bit of a nightmare for us. Bennet Coleman Co Ltd The Times Group is a mouthful to say, but we just think of it as the place where we get the news out to the people. The office is usually a mess of newspapers, half-empty coffee cups, and people typing away like their lives depend on it. Being on the third floor of the Deepak Building means we see a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. It’s a fast place to work, and sometimes the clocks seem to move faster than they should. We don't have much time for fancy speeches or polished presentations. Usually, someone is shouting about a deadline or looking for a lost file that was right there a minute ago. It’s loud and a bit chaotic, but that’s just how the news business feels when things are happening. We’ve been on Peddar Road for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Even though it’s a big name, the actual work is done by regular folks who just want to get the facts straight and the paper printed on time. We stay late most nights, and the office smells like old ink and stale snacks. It’s not the most comfortable life, but it never gets boring.
