Benchmark Creation

We are over at 77 Neelam Cottage, right across from the post office in Gurunagar. It’s a busy little spot in Goten Lani. Most mornings start with unlocking the front gate and sweeping the dust off the step before the sun gets too high. Benchmark Creation isn't a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working with fabrics and trying to get things right for the people who walk in. You can hear the mail trucks coming and going all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit loud, but you get used to it. The shop inside has stacks of material tucked into every corner. It’s not always organized the way a big office would be, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time just measuring and cutting. If the fan is rattling, we usually just give it a tap and keep going. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to say hello or ask about a package at the post office. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit cramped when a few people are inside at once. We don’t have a big sign or a website that works right, so most folks just find us by looking for the cottage number. It’s a straightforward kind of life here. We just do the work, lock up in the evening, and come back to do it again the next day.
