Baseria Guest House

Baseria Guest House is located at House No 52/54 in Khatkhaty House. We are right next to the Shafi Mosque here in Mumbai. If you are familiar with this neighborhood, you know how busy and crowded it gets every single day. The streets are narrow and there is always something going on. Our guest house is in an old building, so the rooms are not very large, but we do our best to keep them clean for whoever stays with us. I’ve lived in this part of the city for my whole life, and the sound of the mosque is a regular part of our day. People stay here because it is a convenient spot for the local markets. We don’t have an elevator, so guests have to use the stairs, which can be a bit of a climb. The reception area is just a small desk where I sit with the guest book. We offer a simple place to sleep without any extra frills. Sometimes the old plumbing gives us trouble, but we try to fix it as fast as we can. The area is quite loud with the sound of bikes and people shouting, but that is just life in this city. We keep the main door locked at night to make sure everyone is safe. It’s just a small family business trying to get by in a very busy world.
