Baraesti Grill Bar & Beyond

If you head up to the fifth floor of Konarkshram on Tagore Road, you will find us. We are right across from the Tardeo Bus Stop, which is a pretty landmark spot in Mumbai. Being near Sardar Pav Bhaji means there is always a crowd around this corner. Baraesti has been part of the Tardeo scene for a bit now. It is a bit of a climb or an elevator ride up, but we like it up here. We do not really bother with those glossy brochures or professional photos. We are just a bunch of people running a grill and bar. It gets busy, especially when the buses are running frequently outside. The noise of the street is always there, but it is part of being in this part of the city. We do not have some grand mission statement we tell everyone. We just want to make sure the place looks decent and things are running smoothly. The staff is quite down-to-earth. We talk to people like they are our neighbors because usually, they are. Working in Mumbai, you get used to the fast pace, so we just try to keep up. It is a practical setup. We have the grill, the bar, and whatever else is going on that day. It is not more complicated than that. Just a spot in Tardeo where people can come in off the street. We just do our thing every day on the fifth floor.
