We are located in a chawl near the Power House in Harayali Village. It’s right in Vikhroli East. If you know Mumbai, you know how these areas are. It’s a very local, working-class vibe. Our office is small and tucked away among the houses. We’ve been here for quite some time, helping out with Balmer Lawrie Co Ltd’s needs in this part of the city. It’s not an easy place to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals can point you to the Power House and then you just look for us. It gets very humid during the monsoon, and we have to be careful with the paperwork so nothing gets damp or ruined by the rain. We don't have air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that have been there for years and make a lot of noise. We mostly talk in Marathi or Hindi while we work. It’s a tight space, so we all know what everyone else is doing. There is no privacy, but we are like a small family anyway. We get our Vada Pav from the stall down the lane for lunch and it's usually the best part of the day. We don't try to look like a big corporation. We are just some guys working in the heart of the village, making sure the business keeps moving. It’s honest, hard work and we are used to the grind every day. We don't have fancy titles, just tasks that need finishing.
