We are located at 172-74 Nagdevi Street. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how incredibly packed it is. It’s the heart of the hardware and tool market. Our building is old, and we’ve been here for years, dealing with all sorts of bearings and machinery parts. The shop is usually full of boxes and the smell of grease and metal. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a clean carpet or air conditioning in every corner. We’re more about the stock we keep. People come to us when they are looking for something specific that they can't find elsewhere. We spend a lot of time digging through our shelves to find that one particular part. It’s a lot of standing and moving things around. We don't really use much technology beyond the basics. Most of our records are still in big books or on simple lists. We know our regulars and they know us. Sometimes the street outside is so loud we have to shout to be heard over the phone. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just sell parts to people who need them to fix their machines. That’s the long and short of it. It’s a tough, busy environment, but it’s where we belong. We just keep our heads down and do our work day after day.
