B K T Tyres

Our shop is situated at 418 Pais Street, right at the fourth cross of Oil Mill Road. B K T Tyres is a place that is mostly full of rubber and the smell of new treads. It is a bit of a messy business, but we like it that way. We spend a lot of time moving heavy tyres around and talking to people about what their trucks or cars need. The street outside can get quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up. We have a small desk in the corner for the bills, but most of the work happens out on the floor. It is not a shiny showroom. It is just a practical place where things get done. We have been in this neighborhood for a long time and we know most of the people who drive past every day. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the whole road when they are dropping off a new load. We just have to work fast to get them unloaded so traffic can move again. It is a lot of physical work, and our clothes usually end up pretty dirty by the end of the shift. We do not mind though. It is just part of the job. We keep a few chairs for people to sit on while they wait, but they are nothing special. We just focus on the tyres.
