Avishkar Computer Institute

Our place is tucked away behind Sri Sai in the Hetal Nagar Society. If you know where the Bharat Co-Operative Bank is on Kalina CST Road, we are right near there in Santacruz East. We teach computer stuff to whoever wants to learn. It started because we saw people in the neighborhood needing to pick up some technical skills. The rooms are filled with monitors and keyboards, and it gets a bit noisy when everyone is typing at once. We aren't a big university or anything like that. Just a local institute where people come after work or school. Sometimes the internet acts up, but we fix it and keep going. Being in Hetal Nagar Society means we see a lot of the same faces every day. It feels like a community spot. We try to explain things in a way that makes sense, without using too many big words that nobody understands anyway. It is practical learning. You sit down, you open the programs, and you practice until you get it. We’ve been at this address for some time now, and we like being part of the Santacruz East area. People drop by to ask about courses, and we just tell them what we have available at the moment. It’s a simple setup for anyone wanting to get better with computers. We stay late most nights to make sure students get enough time on the machines and really understand the software.
