Our place is 101 Rajnigandha Apts on Shankar Lane in Mumbai. The pin code is 400 067. We are listed as Avalon Globakl Research. There is a little typo in the name, but we never got around to changing it everywhere. We do research work, which mostly involves looking at numbers and talking to people on the phone. Shankar Lane is a busy spot, and the building is quite old but it works for us. We are on the first floor, which is convenient because the lift in these old Mumbai apartments can be a bit moody sometimes. There are about five or six of us here on any given day. We don't have a fancy office with glass walls or modern art. It’s just bookshelves, old desks, and a lot of paper. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just provide data to people who need it. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. Sometimes we go down to the local stalls for tea and snacks when the afternoon slump hits. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website that looks like a movie. We just do the research as best as we can. It’s a quiet life in a noisy city. Most of us have lived in Mumbai all our lives, so we are used to the grind. We just keep our heads down and do our jobs.
