You have to walk up to the second floor at 267 Nagdevi Street to find us. It’s right in the heart of Masjid Bunder, which means the noise is constant. Between the carts being pushed on the street and the people shouting, it’s never quiet. Our space is usually full of boxes stacked up against the walls. My sons and I spend most of our time navigating these piles to find what a customer wants. It’s a family thing, really. We’ve all learned which bottle is which just by looking at the markings on the glass. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep, so we tell everyone to be careful coming up. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the usual name on the door. Often, we’re just sitting around a small table having tea while we wait for a delivery to arrive. The shop feels a bit cramped because we try to keep so much inventory on hand. It’s dusty work sometimes, especially when we’re moving old crates from the back. We don't use any modern inventory systems; we just remember where things are. It might seem disorganized to someone else, but it works for us. We’ve known the neighbors on this floor for years, and we all help each other out when someone needs a hand with a heavy load.
