Astra Klen Industries

Mysore Road is always a busy stretch of Bangalore, and our place in the Kharodi New Timber Yard Layout is right in the middle of all that activity. You can hear the trucks shifting gears and the general hum of the industrial area all day long. It’s a gritty part of town, but that’s where the work is. Astra Klen Industries is basically a functional space. We have the layout organized so we can get things done without tripping over each other. There is a lot of dust because of all the timber yards nearby, so we are always cleaning the desks. It’s a practical location for us because the logistics are easier when you are near the main road. The building itself is sturdy and plain. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a few old photos. Most of the guys here have been working in this area for years, so we know the local tea shop owners and the mechanics down the street. It’s the kind of place where you wear work boots and don't worry about getting your hands dirty. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the traffic gets completely blocked. It’s a hard-working environment, and we don't try to dress it up as anything else. We just focus on the day’s tasks and make sure everything is sorted before we head home. It is a simple life but we like it.
