Association For Future Agriculture Leaders Of India
About Association For Future Agriculture Leaders Of India – Agriculture & Farming in Mumbai
Our office is tucked away at 7 Kumtha Street in the Ballard Estate area of Fort. It’s a part of Mumbai with those grand old buildings and wide streets, which feels a bit strange when you’re talking about agriculture. The Association For Future Agriculture Leaders Of India is where we try to get younger people interested in the farming world. It’s not a school or a big institution, just a small space where we organize programs and meetings. The walls are a bit dusty and the wooden floors creak when you walk, but it has a lot of character. We spend our time planning workshops and trying to connect with different agricultural schools. It’s mostly about showing that farming isn't just about the past, but it’s something for the next generation too. We don't have a big staff. It’s just a few of us who care about how food is grown in this country. Some days we have students dropping by with questions, and other days we are just buried in paperwork. We don't use a lot of fancy corporate jargon. We just talk about the practical side of being a leader in the field. It’s a quiet corner of the city, and we like it that way. We aren't doing any big promotional stunts; we are just here on Kumtha Street, doing what we can to help out the future of the industry.
