Ashra Consultants Pvt.Ltd. is based over at Devidayal Estate on Reay Road. Our mailing address is P.O.Box No.6219, but we are physically right there in the estate. It’s an old building with a lot of character, which basically means the pipes rattle and the windows are a bit drafty. We have an office that is stuffed with folders and boxes of old records. Being on Reay Road, there is always a lot of activity outside with the port and the railway nearby. You can hear the trains and the heavy trucks moving through the estate all day long. We have a few desks, some old computers, and a telephone that never seems to stop ringing. It’s not the most modern setup you’ll ever see, but it serves us well enough. We spend a lot of time reading through documents and writing things down. We aren't the type to have big meetings with fancy presentations. We usually just sit around a table with some tea and figure things out. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which gives us a chance to stretch our legs. It’s a busy, somewhat messy place to work, but we are used to it. We don't try to impress anyone with the decor; we just focus on the consulting work we have on hand. The tea is usually hot and strong, which helps us get through the long afternoons.
