I work out of Room No 3 in the Siddhi Vinayak Chawl, which is located at Agrasen Point in Dahisar. It’s a very simple setup, nothing like the big offices you see in the city. Living and working in a chawl means you’re always around people. There is always the sound of children playing in the corridor or someone washing dishes nearby. My space is small and I have to be very careful about how I use it. I have a small desk and a few chairs for when people come to visit. Most of the time, I am out and about in the Dahisar area, dealing with whatever work comes my way. It’s a humble place, and I don’t try to pretend it’s anything else. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor is just plain cement. But it works for what I need. I’ve lived around here for a long time, so I know most of the neighbors by name. We look out for each other. There aren't any big advertisements for what I do. People just find me through word of mouth or by asking around the chawl. It’s a very direct and honest way to live. I wake up, have my tea, and get to work. The commute is just a few steps, which is nice. Every day is pretty much the same, and I’m okay with that because it keeps things steady and simple.
