Arya Bhavan

You can find us over at Arya Bhavan in the Bhanujyotin Building. We have been in Matunga East for a good bit of time now, occupying shops 9 and 10. Sa Brelvi Road stays pretty active, so there is always something going on outside our door. It’s a nice neighborhood, very lived-in. I started this place because I like being part of the local scene here in Mumbai. We aren't trying to be some high-end lounge or anything like that. It’s just a regular eatery where you can get a meal and get on with your day. The floor can get a bit scuffed during the lunch rush, but we try to keep it tidy. Sometimes the morning supply delivery is late, and we all have to scramble, but we manage. My staff have been with me for years, so we all know how the kitchen runs. We’ve got regulars who have been coming since we first opened our doors in this building. It’s funny how you get to know people’s orders before they even sit down. 400019 is home for us. We don't have a big fancy sign or a lot of decorations. Just the basics. It feels like a real part of Matunga. If you are walking down Sa Brelvi Road, you'll see us. We’re just local people serving food to our neighbors. It’s not a complicated life, but we like it this way. It's just a normal day for us.
