Our unit is number 2 in the Patel Industrial Estate, right opposite the Union Bank on S.V. Road in Dahisar (E). It’s a very busy road, so there is always noise from the buses and rickshaws going by. The shop we have here has been around for a bit. While the space isn't huge, we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. Shelves reach all the way to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of electronic parts. Dust settles on the stock sometimes. That is what happens when you keep this much inventory. We don’t really do anything fancy here. Most of the time, we’re just helping people find the right part or fixing something that’s been brought in. The lighting isn't the best, so we use desk lamps to see what we are doing with the small circuits. This industrial estate is pretty old, and we know most of our neighbors. Sometimes we stand out front for a bit of air when the sidewalk isn't too crowded. It’s a straightforward business without any big meetings or corporate stuff going on. It’s just us, the tools, and the electronics. If the power goes out, we wait it out or use the emergency light. That’s just the way it goes here in Dahisar every single day. We keep the doors open and just get on with the work that's waiting for us. It is simple and practical, just like the neighborhood.
