Arth Gifts is located in the Anand Raj Industrial Estate in Bhandup West. To find us, you have to go behind the Asian Paints factory, which is a huge landmark in this area. Being in an industrial estate means the surroundings are quite gray and there’s always the sound of trucks and machinery nearby. Our unit is number 118, and it looks more like a small warehouse than a shop. Tall metal racks filled with different gift items are mostly packed in brown cardboard boxes. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy carpets or soft music. We deal with a lot of packing tape and bubble wrap every day. The air is often thick with the smell of the nearby industries, which we’ve gotten used to. Much of our time is spent organizing the stock and keeping track of what’s coming in and going out. It gets very hot under the tin roof during the summer months, so the fans are always on full blast. Sometimes moving heavy pallets is necessary just to get to a specific shelf in the back. Most people who come here are looking for something specific and don't mind the industrial setting. A small desk in the corner is where we do all the paperwork and take calls from customers. It’s a straightforward environment where work comes first. We just focus on getting the items onto the shelves and ready for whoever needs them for their own business or home.
