You can find us over in Goregaon West, right on Solapur Road inside the Fine Living showroom. It’s a busy spot but we’ve made a home for ourselves there. Selling mattresses is one of those things where you talk to people about how they sleep all day. It sounds funny but it’s actually quite important. We see all kinds of people coming in, tired from work, looking for something that won’t hurt their back. We keep things pretty simple in the shop. We have different foams and springs, and we let people sit on them for as long as they need. There’s no rush. We know these things are an investment and you’re going to be stuck with it for years. My family has been doing this for a bit, and we’ve learned that a good mattress doesn't need a lot of talk to sell it. You just lay down and you know. The showroom gets a lot of light in the afternoons, which makes it a nice place to work. We handle the deliveries ourselves most of the time, navigating the Goregaon traffic to get the beds to people's houses. It’s honest work and it feels good when someone comes back a week later saying they finally slept through the night. That’s why we stay in this business.
