You can find me at B 1401 in Panchsheel Height, which sits right opposite the main road in Kandivali West. Being up on the fourteenth floor gives a bit of a break from the noise of the Mumbai streets below. The view is mostly other buildings and the tops of trees, but it feels open. The apartment serves as my workspace, and I have set aside the main room for meetings and my computer setup. It is a modern enough building, so the elevators usually work well, which is a relief. I have lived and worked in this area for quite some time now. Kandivali is always moving, and there is a constant energy that you can feel even from up here. The room is filled with books and some plants that I try to keep alive despite the sea breeze. I don't follow a very strict corporate schedule. Sometimes I am working late into the night when it is quiet, and other times I start very early before the building gets noisy with people leaving for their jobs. Visitors find it easy to get here because the building is a well-known landmark. It is just a comfortable, functional space where I can think and get my tasks finished without too many interruptions. The kitchen is close by for making tea, which is where most of my breaks happen. It gets quite windy up here in the evenings, which is nice.
